A PRAYER OF TRANSITIONING, By Vincent R. Pool
“Father, I simply come to you at this time asking that you would grant us an awakening of your presence and your divine Spirit as we are transitioning from one season of divine destiny to the next. I pray, Father, there would be an intensification of divine hunger and thirst for righteousness and holiness in and amongst your people. I ask, Father, that there would be unusual transformations of our natural nature and characteristics into magnificent majestic displays of your character, your nature and of course, your divine attributes. Let the fullness of the nature of Christ come to full manifestation in each of us that have made you our ultimate hope. Father, pour out your Spirit in full measure according to your word, that the world may know and believe that all things are under your divine control. Teach each of us how to come into a perfected intimate oneness with you, that we might truly become the word made flesh or Christ in us the hope of Glory. Let our ultimate aim and goal in life be to do the will of the Father, that we might be able to proclaim along with our Lord, ‘I and my Father are one’. Purify us, Father, mind, body and spirit, that we might boldly proclaim to a sin-sick and dying world, that ‘When you see me, you see the Father’, and be able to prove by being a full demonstration of ‘The Gospel Of The Kingdom’. Let there be an absolute urgency in our spirits, as there was in our Lords that ‘I must do the works of him who sent me while it is day, for the night cometh and no man can work’! Teach us to discern and seize every opportunity to become a manifestation of your kingdom in word and in deed. I ask that you reveal to each and every one of us our purpose for being, and then, Father, empower us to fulfill that purpose. During this season of transitioning, increase us in wisdom, knowledge and understanding of your word and your will that we may be able to impart the same to those that you have ordained to cross our paths and to come under our sphere of influence. Thank you, Father, for allowing me to write this prayer, and I ask that it be a blessing to everyone that reads it. I ask it all in the name of the living Christ. Amen.”
